My Bio
I played baseball from the age of 6 through high school. I also played high school football and earned a scholarship to go play at the University of St. Francis. After redshirting my freshman year, I was a four year starter on the offensive line for the University of St. Francis. After playing at St. Francis I had several professional tryouts but never was able to sign with a team. I also coached Pee Wee football and was involved with the Plainfield Junior Cats
I started coaching fastpitch softball 11 years ago at the in house level as a parent coach. A year later, we created an in house all-star team which turned into a part time travel team and eventually full travel. In 2017 I joined the Dirt Devils Softball Organization as a head coach and two years later took over the organization as the President. In the10 years of travel, my teams have combined for a .650 winning percentage and have had one season where we finished under .500 by 3 games. In that time, we concentrated on developing girls as softball players and as young women. I started doing hitting lessons about 3 years ago sporadically but really started about a year and half ago. Since that time I have had constant feedback about not only the physical successes but the mental success that the players I am coaching are having. I have also been an assistant coach at Joliet West High School for the last 3 years, where we won conference both years. It is my passion to help kids have fun and grow within a sport that they love.
